~Y/N's POV~
I opened the creaking door to our house.
It's not a huge house, but it's ours, and that's enough for me. Our house is a small cottage in small woods. We decided to live in a more secluded area so that Remus and I can transform without any risk of hurting someone.
There is a very tiny village to the left of our cottage, just down a small path, is the village. We grow some vegetables at home as well.
Our home might not be a manor but it's quaint, and I love it.
I walk to my room, the floorboards creaking as they usually do.
My room is cramped, like the rest of the house, as I've previously mentioned. It has light grey walls that are strewn with some posters, like the Holyhead Harpies, and other posters of the Hogwarts Houses, and I couldn't wait to put up some polaroid photos I had taken of myself and the guys.
My bed was almost the same shade as my walls, a dark grey colour. The bed itself was white, and I had a messy white desk in the corner of the room. My desk was covered by parchment and inkpots.
I carefully picked up Freckles' cage and set it up in my room. Once it was set up I let her out to stretch her legs. She flew over to me and coo'ed, happy to be out of the cage.
I walked over to my desk and sat down. My mother had made the desk herself. She wasn't a builder, so it wasn't the greatest quality, and it was slightly wonky, but I loved it nonetheless. I grabbed out a piece of parchment and a quill and began writing a letter to James first.
"Hey Jamie,
I hope you're doing good. I just got home, and I've started unpacking. I don't remember packing this much.
I feel like I'll be unpacking for the next 10 years :(
I hope you got back home safely, and hopefully, I'll see you soon and we could meet up with the others.
Miss you already,
-Y/N"
I gave Freckles a treat before handing her the letter. I told her where to go and opened the window for her.
~James' POV~
I opened the doors to The Potter Manor and looked around. The Manor was my grandfather's but, when he, unfortunately, passed away he gave the Manor to my parents, Fleamont and Euphemia Potter.
The Manor was huge, with hundreds of windows and light ivy gracing the side.
I walked up the stairs to my room, which was messy as always.
I heard a scratching at my window and opened it to find Y/N's owl holding a letter for me. Hopefully, the poor thing hadn't been out there too long.
I let the small white owl into the warmth of my room and took the letter from her beak.
I read through the letter and smiled. I had already asked my parents whether the other Marauders could come over for the holidays, and thankfully, they had said yes.
I grabbed my quill and began writing back to her.
After I had written her the letter back and given it to Freckles, along with some treats, I wrote out some letters inviting the others over as well.
I re-read her note again and smiled.
Y/N always made me feel happy, she made me feel better when I felt worse. She was my best friend, but I felt different towards her, I didn't like her the same way I liked the others.
She made my heart flutter whenever I thought about her.
What was going on?
~Y/N's POV~
I read the invitation over for the third time and smiled. In only a week I would be packing up again to go over to James'. My mum had already said it was okay, as long as we were responsible. (i wrote out parents first and then was like "oh wait" and now i feel sad yall)
I was petting Freckles, as my silence was interrupted by a disgruntled Remus.
"Y/N! Y/N!" Remus yelled.
"What?" I snapped.
"We're at James' House-"
"Manor," I corrected him.
"Whatever, we're there during the transformation." He said.
I let out an involuntary gasp. I hadn't realised the dates. James' note had only said "next week," which I hadn't remembered was a full moon. Clearly, mum hadn't either, or they would never, will never, let us go.
I have grown to love my mum, but it wasn't until a couple of years ago, when I first got my letter to Hogwarts I slowly forgave her. Not immediately. Once I came back for Christmas, I decided I could forgive them. Mostly. It was still her fault I was a werewolf anyways, and I won't ever forgive her for that, but it's my father's fault too. I prefer to blame him for it anyways.
Well, it wasn't exactly my Mum's fault but she let my dad say it. She didn't make any move to stop him, which means she agreed. Which is just as bad.
We were turned into Werewolves by turned by Fenrir Greyback. He was seeking revenge because of what our father said about the Werewolf community. The attack happened a few days before our fifth birthday. Lyall, my father, was able to us from death, but we were left as werewolves.
"Well, what are we going do?" I exclaimed.
This would just be another moment ruined by my transformation. To say I was angry would be a severe understatement.

"Jamie!" I squealed, hugging him tightly. I saw his cheeks go slightly pink as a pulled away and went to go say hello to the other boys who were already there.
I opened the door and took a moment to look around the manor in awe. It was huge, and I felt like an ant in comparison. I had never been to James' before and I couldn't help my jaw almost dropping to the floor.
I looked over to James as if expecting him to tell me it's not really his house, and it's all a joke, but he merely looked pink and rubbed his neck whilst he seemed spaced out.
"This place is amazing!" Peter chuckled.
I grinned, saying hello to Sirius and Peter.
The Marauders and I decided to go play some Quidditch outside. We had all brought our broomsticks and made our way out to the pitch. My broom had never been very good, but at least I had a broomstick because I know some people don't.
I hopped on the broom and kicked off into the air, feeling the wind run through my hair.
Peter released the balls into the air. The game was Sirius and I against Peter, Remus and James. I was against James as a Seeker. I search for the golden-winged ball.
I flew around on my broom, searching to no avail until I saw the snitch fluttering near Peter's head. I dived down towards him, and James was on my tail. He had a much better broom, so there was no way I would be faster. He would catch up to me soon. I tried to speed up and I reached out my arm to grab it, and I felt my hand around the snitch, but I also felt another hand. James and I had grabbed the snitch at the same time.
I laughed at his confused expression.
"What happens now?" We asked in unison.
"Jinx!" We said at the same time again.
We laughed together.
"I suppose it's a draw?" I asked.
"I suppose so," He mumbled.
I felt my face grow hot looking into his eyes, so, so green eyes. I felt like we were looking at each other for hours, but I didn't want to look away. Our "staring contest" was broken up by Sirius however.
"Alright, alright you too, get a room already!" He snickered.
If it was possible for my face to become as red as a tomato, it had just happened. I knew the tips of my ears went red, as they usually would when I was embarrassed.
I steered my broom towards the ground.

"Okay, so what excuse do you have?" Remus asked.
I had been procrastinating on how I was going to get away to go transform, since the others already knew Remus was leaving, it would be suspicious. I didn't bring my sheet of excuses like I should have, and I couldn't remember what was on it for the life of me.
"I'll just say I'm on vomiting, they'll be grossed out enough," I said, exasperated.
"Okay, but I can't promise they'll believe you, N/N," he says.
I sighed and made my way to the living room to let the boys know.
~James' POV~
"Hey guys, I'm going to go home, just for tonight to go get some medicine, I don't feel too well. And Remus is going back as well, it's a full moon tonight," she murmured.
I thought it was suspicious that she always left when Remus did. Was she a werewolf too? I have a feeling, but no. She wouldn't lie to us. Besides, what reason would she have to lie? She saw how we're completely okay with Remus. And she seemed horrified when I asked if she was a werewolf.
I nodded.
"Okay, feel better soon Y/N, we'll see you in the morning if you feel better right?" Peter said, waving them goodbye.
"Yeah of course." She mumbled, smiling at Peter.
We watched them leave and Sirius turned to me.
"So..." He smirked at me.
"So what?" I asked.
"You and N/N huh?"
"What do you mean Sirius? I don't-"
"Come on Jamie, we both know you fancy her. You became a tomato when she hugged you." His smirk widened.
"Look, so maybe I fancy her. Big deal."
"I knew it!" Sirius yelled, and continued to sing it, dancing around the room with Peter in tow, arm and arm.
"Shut up Sirius. You'll annoy my parents, and if you want to come back here, I suggest you don't do that."
He rolled his eyes and continued his strange song about Y/N and I.
aaaa last day of year 3! hope you're enjoying it so far. <33
